2Model arose out of our (Marc and Candace’s) shared passion for the work as live art models. Through decades of experience and exploration, we discovered a love for giving to and nurturing the development of artists. At the same time, we both feel that there is untapped creativity in the collaboration with art models. Much more than objects or figures to be posed, an art model brings their own creativity and expression to the process of making art. So much is happening in this vulnerable space of revealing one’s self (whether physically or in one’s creative work) and we feel that there is deep value in being curious about this. Rather than shying away from asking questions here, we feel that artists and models can be deeply served by digging into the meaning of this unique connection. We want to nurture the development of art by encouraging empathy and understanding between artistic collaborators, by exploring the meaning of this practice within the broader socio-cultural context, and by pushing the boundaries of creative teamwork.

Hello, I’m Marc, a dedicated life model with nearly four decades of experience in the world of art. My journey began at the age of 18 when I stepped into the realm of nude photography. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with various art academies across disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography.
As a life model, I take pride in being a vital part of the artistic process, helping artists explore the human form through their creative lenses. My experience spans from intimate photography sessions to dynamic life drawing classes and inspiring sculpture workshops. I believe in the power of art to transcend boundaries and connect us to deeper cultural and personal narratives.
So many years later, my passion for modelling is stronger than ever, and I continue to be inspired by the incredible artists I work with. Together with my fellow model, I aim to create a space that celebrates the artistry and cultural significance of life modelling.
